The genre of documentary has experienced a quiet revolution in the past three decades, propagated by a new wave of documentarians, who challenge longstanding traditions and notions of documentary itself. The Master of Fine Arts in Documentary Media Program at Ryerson University brings together documentarians from a broad spectrum of backgrounds, and is home to students producing works that find their roots in fine art, photojournalism, anthropology and experimental media.
